Need a quick method to distinguish the N95-4 from the N95-2? Here’s how to tell them apart, inside and out.

If you don’t mind turning your device off and removing the battery, you can verify the model number of your N95 by reading it on the label next to the SIM card slot. This is the most reliable method, but not the easiest. If you need a quicker way, The Nokia Blog notes a key difference around the lens: The N95-4 (North American edition) says “AF” and the N95-2 (global edition) spells out “autofocus”, as indicated below.

It’s a great tip that lets you tell them apart at a glance without having to shut down the device.
