Find out what Wired, Ars Technica and Engadget have to say about the new N810 and its WiMAX capabilities.

Wired has exclusive photos and thoughts on the tablet’s evolution:

“Nokia’s Internet Tablet line has always been something of an odd duck. The first iteration was a touchscreen-only job whose operating system was about as user-friendly as the Linux nerds who used it. But with every update this family of open-source palmtops has eked closer to the mainstream, first sprouting a camera, then a keyboard, and now, with the N810 refresh announced a few minutes ago, WiMAX and a sexy darkened paintjob.”

Ars Technica talks about the N810 and Sprint’s new Xohm WiMAX network:

“Nokia has yet to announce any distribution deals for the updated tablet, but did confirm that it is in talks with a number of carriers. First and foremost would be Sprint, which has been testing its Xohm WiMAX network since the beginning of the year with an eye towards a launch later this spring. Sprint’s efforts will get a major boost if the joint venture currently being negotiated with Clearwire, Intel, Google, Comcast, and others becomes a reality.”

Engadget features a hands-on N810 gallery and additional WiMAX service details:

“The real magic happens deep within this thing’s innards, where the addition of a WiMAX radio keeps things speedy when WiFi hotspots are out of reach and Bluetooth tethering to a 3G phone is too much of a hassle. The software necessary to support XOHM activation isn’t complete yet, but Nokia’s reps tell us that the process of signing up for WiMAX service will be seamless and entirely doable from the N810 itself - no pesky phone calls or visits to a store necessary. They likened it to purchasing hotel internet service; there’ll probably be hourly, daily, or continuous subscriptions available, making it possible to only shell out XOHM coin when the situation demands it. It works just like any other data connection on the device, too, so getting your wide-area broadband on is pretty much as painless as it could possibly be. Check out some shots (including a side-by-side with the original N810) in the gallery!”

I loved my N95 until someone robbed me in Florida. I still love it, I just do not have my N95 any more. Looking around I realize that the N810WiMax - the AT&T version looks interesting ( I have been with AT&T (the former cingular ) since around 1986 & do not intend to changel. When and where can I buy the NEW810WiFi ?
